We believe the school exists for the benefit of both the individual and our society. Since the school serves as preparation for active citizenship in America, it is a democratic institution. It is the duty of the school to provide, to the best of its ability, for the total development of the individual. In order to meet the needs of both society and individuals, the curriculum provides vocational, social, recreational, ethical, group and intellectual experiences and skills. Mastery of each level of skills must be proven before the student progresses to the next level.
